Cricut Circle Letter Envy

Always nice to have some monogrammed cards ready for a note.

Here is the V from Letter Envy. I used bright pink and one of my favorite mirrored papers. Adds shine and a bit of formality. It really needs nothing else. The rectangles are cut from George and make such  nice matting perfectly even.

Love Tea Card in Pink

This simple card has lots of pizzaz to it. Using  papers from my stash in bright pink and white. I ran the white layer through the Cuttlebug using the Provo Craft Hearts embossing folder. It made a nice background for my Love sentiment cut from Provo Crafts Lacy Labels. The print paper used for the sentiment and for the round die cut is HOT OF THE PRESS Pink/Yellow Plaid. The fuschia and white polka dot ribbon is Celebrate It Grosgrain. I made a bookmark using an oversize paperclip and die cuts from MyCreativeTime Scalloped and stitched Circle Dies. The sweet teapot is also MyCreativeTime Tea Party Stamp Set. The card will still look finished with the bookmark removed.

Vinyl Decorated Water Bottle

Challenge to use Letter Envy, the new Circle Cartridge and 2 other cuts! Okay...my mind usually goes to Tulips first! I needed to decorate my new water bottle and had gotten many colors of Contact Paper at the Dollar Store.

The picket fence and tulips are from Spring Cottage.

It is so bright and cheery now and so me!!

Peachy Keen 3D Candy Holder

I am pleased at the ease of this project. This goes back to Girl Scout Swaps of years gone by.
I am going to end up with a basket of paper carrots filled with jelly beans.

For this project it is important to use a heavy adhesive so it stays together. I like to use the Red Roll of Double Sided Tape when I need strength.

I used Peachy Keen PK575 Basic Paper Doll Faces and added a little pizzaz with acrylic Paint Daubers in Watermelon. The stamped face is with Forest Green Stazon with a White Pentel Sunburst Gel Pen for the eyes and cheeks.

The hair on Ms Carrot is green cellophane.  I tied Twine in orange and white and added a little orange button. The cellophane ended up looking like a little hairdo of a side ponytail...cute.

Before I tied it shut, I put some crinkled shredded paper inside the bottom part of the cone. Then I put the jellybeans in a baggie and tied it shut. White rick rack around the top gives it a little more stability.

This would be a fun little party favor.

Tulip Wall Art

This piece has several soothing colors. Featuring Art Nouveau.  I used Crystal Effects on the tulips to give them a more real look. I inked and sanded all the edges of the vase and the stems for a vintage look. I love this cartridge. It was made with me in mind.

Enjoy~

MCT Sketch Challenge - Count on Me

I again had to ask a favor since I don't have an Imagine for this challenge. My friend from Ohio Anne was kind enough to make me and mail me some papers to arrive in time. My crafting has brought so many nice people in my life.

The number and polka dot papers are from Teresa Collins Black and White.

I added a bookmark made from a 3 inch oversized paperclip and the MyCreativeTime Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.

The shades of yellows and golds are Recollections.

The adorable measuring tape ribbon is from my stash.

The sentiment COUNT ON ME is from Provo Crafts 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge.

Enjoy~

It's a Coffee Date A Special TIme to Celebrate!

This simple little card featuring MyCreativeTimes new coffee stamps and die cut has a surprise.
I am a Starbucks Venti Decaf Non-fat Mocha addict. Yes it is a problem. But...while I was waiting for my drink, I spied the nutrition brochures. Ooooooh...hmmmm...ahhhhh...

Yup, that cute background paper that is featured here is from that brochure! So perfect. I didn't even have to wait for a coupon or a sale!

It has tea cups, coffee cups, coffee beans. Lots of spots with no writing. Covered some writing with the fabulous ribbon.  I just fell in love with it. What are you waiting for...go get one or five!

I think a coffee date is a special time to celebrate!

Happy Spring

Renees' Color soft and beautiful. Cut from Provo Crafts' Wedding Solution Cartridge. I got this cartridge specifically for this cross and the high heeled shoe. I use them so much that it is totally worth it even using only those 2 cuts.

Enjoy~

The colors are a light rose, a light lavendar and a dove grey.

  • The striped pastel voile ribbon is Celebrate It.
  • I used Perfect Pearls in Pastel Rasberry
  • Glitter in Recollections Blush and Orchid.
  • The stamped phrase Happy Spring is from MyCreativeTime Hello Spring that includes a Layering Egg Die Cut.

Acrylic WIndow Bunny Card with a Secret

Acrylic Window Card Opened
The challenge was to make an Easter Card with a window AND if it had a bunny, you could enter it on another site. A Twofer!!!

I will share a secret with you regarding this bunny.

1. It is made with George. The very first Cricut Cartridge. Mine is 6 years old!!!
2. It is made with ALL hearts!

That's right!! Even the carrot. This design goes back to the days where I just had punches to work with and was big into paper piecing. You cut various size hearts in half and get the ears, arms, and legs. The carrot is half a heart as well. The head, nose and body are full hearts.

Add inking, pen stitching, pop dots and wiggle eyes.

The beautiful tulip from Freshly Picked finishes it off. This card fits in a 5" x 5" square envelope.

Happy Campers Stair Step Card

Hi there. We go camping every year. A whole bunch of family and friends and we still camp in tents.
Card Partially Closed

On this rainy Sunday afternoon, I thought I would be able to spend some time on a fun card with a camping theme.

The Peachy Keen Challenge was a card with pen stitching. Just like it sounds, you use your pen and make stitch marks. This type of embellishment really adds pizzaz to a die cut. The Paper Play Time challenge was for a Mans' Card.
Card Open

Now how can you can you enter a PK Challenge and not use some of their fabulous face stamps. Look closely at the little star on the moons hat. Yup a little tiny 3/8" face from the PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Assortment.
Close Up of Moon and Star

I used Provo Craft Cricut Cartridge Campin' Critters for ALL the cuts. I varied my sizes from 2" to 4' and pop dotted in different thicknesses.
Close up of the car

Close up of Big Foot

Close up of the Owl

This is very hard to show, but Big Foot is on an Action Wobble! I love these. I only have a few from a sample but you can be sure I will be getting some more. They are easy to use and a fun addition to a card.
The Action Wobble

I added googly eyes to the moon, Big Foot and the Owls' 1 eye that showed.
All pen stitching is done in various colors of Flair pens by Pentel.
The cardstock is all Recollections.
The inking is Cats' Eye Chalk.
To start your stair step card, cut cardstock at 5 1/2" by 10 1/2"
Score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", 6", 8 1/4"
Card Fuly Closed

Let's see what kind of scene you can make.

ChatterScene Challenge Elements only

The challenge is to use elements from stash. No electronic die cutting machines. How fun!!!

I have some fabulous papers in my stash that I wanted to experiment with. I used neutral tones of copper, kraft, and black and made a Spring themed card.

I spent time with my Cuttlebug. I embossed the copper shiny paper. The flower is MyCreativeTime Scalloped and Stitched Circle. The stamped sentiment is also a MyCreativeTime new Hello Spring Stamp set.

I used white on white pin dot voile ribbon by Celebrate This. I plucked some pink silk flowers off of a floral  stem and for the center I used rust buttons and a bow with licorice twine.

Would you think that this combination of goodies would say spring?

Dream - MyCreativeTime Challenge Pink Grey Black

I think this card is beautiful! Using some of my favorite colors of pink grey and black, this card has many elements that coordinate and exude feminine prettiness. I need lots of tween cards and this style fits the bill.

  • The Black and Grey papers are from Making Memorys Wedding stack.
  • The Pink papers are from DCWV Fresh Floral stack and My Favorite Things stack
  • The word Dream is from Teresa Collins Cricut Cartridge Sophisticated
  • Gems are Martha Stewart Gemstone Mini Flowers
  • The sweet pink flower stone is Celebrate It Floral Pick
  • The little black tulle and silver pearls are Celebrate It Floral Pick in the wedding section
  • The ribbon is Offray Pink/White Daisy Voile
Perfect when you have a color challenge and so many pretty papers. Or want to use beautiful scraps that you have been saving. The 4 little squares in the center are only 1 1/4". This card is a 4"x 6". I am using a grey envelope from my stash of fun envelopes. I plan to mail it off to my niece to invite her to go shopping for her 8th grade graduation dress.

Cutting Felt - soft baby headbands

So cutting felt designs can be challenging. I brought this back to show how simple these little headbands are to make. The headband itself is t-shirt ribbing. I have a whole collection of colors and it only needs a back seam. If you don't have a sewing machine, you can easily stitch this up by hand. I put a little velcro on the headband and the felt ornament so they could mix and match. My favorites are the watermelon, the ladybug and of course the tulip.

Peachy Keen Color Palette Challenge

http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

I am entering my card in this weeks Peachy Keen Color Palette Challenge.

For me the inspirational picture captured a sweet town with a bright blue sky. Maybe I needed a blue sky on this dreary cold weekend. I tore paper to make my background of the card. I am still having fun with paint chips and that is what the word SWEET and the lollipops are made of. I stamped the lollipops with Peachy Keen Just Baby Faces Assortment and Wrapped them in Saran and Trendy Twine in coordinating colors. A little inking and pen stitching with the Uniball Signo White Pen and I was ready to assemble with ATG tape and 3D Pop Dots.

I hope you like my interpretation of these beautiful colors.

Rainbow Paint Chip Favors

Rain Rain It's Okay
Gave me time to craft and play!
Pink, Orange, Green, Purple and Blue gave way.
And shone when the weather was cloudy and grey.
Now how did I do this I hear you say...

I wanted to play with my new coffee cup die cut and sleeves and I wanted to work with paint chips. YUP! Paint chips! The rainbow of colors have been all over the craftbooks and magazines. AND THEY ARE FREE!!!! Jingers' bookmarks reminded me that I had a stash of these! I am surprised the Home Improvement Store hasn't put a wanted sign out for me!!  I love creating with free stuff!!

So I gathered glitter, twine, paper, ribbons, buttons and the paint chips to coordinate with some fun colors of mini anitbacterial soap and pencils I had accumulated.

I cut the writing off so that I could have a backdrop and matted it with white trying to get the same distance as the white between the colors on the paint chips. I also cut the sleeves for the cups from paintchips and ran them through the Cuttlebug using Dotted Swiss Embossing folder.
The "clay" pot and the daisy are from Cricut Cartridge Walk in my Garden. These are 3 dimensional as I used 3d pop dots ad put the antibacterial soap in the center so it stands up. The bookmark is in the back and has the pencil tied to it. The coffee cup is on the front of the bottle with a popsicle stick and the paper clay pot.

Again the coffee cup is from My Creative Time new release Coffee Break.

We are going to have rain all weekend so these brightly colored little favors will brighten my day. It was fun to see how many things I could get to coordinate!! Hope your day was sunny and bright, even if you had to create the rainbow yourself.

These will be fun to include in Secret Sister Swaps or on the desks of coworkers.

My Creative Time Coffee Tea Cocoa challenge

I was so excited to get home from work today. My Stamp Sets from Emma My Creative Time arrived. Now I can participate in her Tea Party.

I rushed to make 3 projects that were swimming in my head when I first saw the sets.

I love my Starbucks Venti Decaf Mocha.

Designer Tip:
Anyone can make the little Starbucks "logo" --- I dipped an unused pencil eraser in my forest green Staz-on ink and whallah...

The ribbon is Offray, the papers are Recollections, the inks are Staz-on in Forest Green, Brown and Black.

My Project for Jingers Design Team Call

Thank you for taking the time to come see my project. This is my entry for Jinger Adams Brand New Design Team as she prepares to roll out her new product line.

I actually met Jinger when she was a spokeperson for ProvoCraft and she attended The Cricut Circle Crop in Los Angeles in 2011. I had a picture taken with her. She had chosen and displayed my winning card for the Anna Griffin/Provo Craft Card Contest. She is starting a new endeavor of her own product line and sent out a call for her first Design Team. How exciting for everybody. I can't wait to see what she has designed.

I got the courage to try out and here is my project for my first Design Team Call. I hope you like it.

I made a 12 x 12 Scrapbook Layout for my book that I am doing about me. I decided to use my favorite colors of pinks and greens and polka dots and flowers. I think it screams Spring. I visualize a pretty cotton sundress with a fragrant corsage and dainty sandals with a daisy on the toe. I covered my table with fucshia Washi Paper and beautiful light pink tulips.

Here is a close up of one of the creative elements on this layout. Quilling Flowers. I used the Daisy Quilling tools by Provo Crafts' Cuttlebug. I adhered the flowers to lime glitter paper for some bling. A girl cannot have too much bling! Here you notice all the different mediums of polka dots that I used.
This is what the Quilling Kit looks like when you buy it.
I wanted to show you the details close up. Pearls, Perfect Pearl Swirls, Rick Rack on the edge and several coordinating papers from Recollections. The polka dot ribbon is Offray.
This is how the green crinkle ribbon looked before I dyed it and crunched it up. I actually cut 5 yard pieces and dyed many things to match. This seam binding, rickrack and "skittles" an acrylic gem. They all take the color of the alcohol inks really nicely and add coordinated punch to a card or layout. I keep them by color in little zippy snack bags.
Closeup of the pen stitching, Stickles Glitter Glue and papers.
So what do you think? I hope you will come back often to see what I am up to as I Dream, Inspire and Create. We will explore all mediums of crafting in paper, fabric and stamping.

Whether I make it or not...go check out all the great things happening at Jingers Site:

30 Luau Invitations completed and ready to deliver

I used Provo Crafts Luau cartridge for the word Luau and the hibiscus. The Hibiscus also has a little bit of gold Smooch so it looks pretty in the light. Don't you think all palm trees should have rhinestone coconuts? I love the little Hawaiian print on the paper. The print inside is on blue cardstock and the envelopes are blue as well to tie it all together.

Harley Diaper Trike

I love making diaper cakes and have been making the trikes for a few years in addition to the regular wedding cake looking one. I got a special order for a Harley Davidson Trike. Any of you who know me know I would have to research because I detest motorcycles.

Anyway, I even went in to a Harley shop to get the little bear riding on the top with his doo rag. It came out so adorable. I may become a fan. The lady at the shop said "oh is this a gift?" She was going to wrap it btu I didn't need it wrapped. I did however need some of that wonderful black harley embossed tissue paper. I asked and she gave me some. That is what I covered the cardboard with for easy transport.

Color Challenge Card Featuring Pagoda

For this card I used little purchased umbrellas. I thought the Panda and the pearls added to the Asian theme. I needed to incorporate green so I used twine to pick up the green in the umbrellas. Lots of pop dots give this card dimension. The Cricut Cartridge Pagoda has many useful cuts.
